Norfolk Training Services Ltd has achieved Approved Centre status for Driver CPC Training from the Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training (JAUPT) and, in addition, is a member of the RTITB Masterdriver consortium. With over 40 years experience of providing training to professional drivers and transport and logistics organisations, our instructors and tutors have the skills and experience of the logistics industry required to carry out this training. We have used our skills and expertise to design a programme of training to ensure that drivers can achieve and maintain their Driver CPC qualification with ease.

Periodic Training

In Centre: 

£75 + VAT for each 7 hour training course + £8.75 Upload fee to DSA central database.

In Company: 

Where training takes place at customer's premises in a suitable training room.  Please note that numbers allowed may be restricted due to the size of the training room.  The normal maximum course number for which accreditation provides is 20.

Day rate for weekday:  £500 + mileage + VAT + Upload fees (£8.75 per person)

Day rate for weekend:  £600 + mileage + VAT + Upload fees (£8.75 per person)

Economic & Defensive Driving (In Centre/In Company) Maximum 4 drivers:

This practical course can be arranged on request and training can take place at your premises or at our Centre in Norwich.  This course utilises our modern Mercedes Axor Rigid Vehicle (Cat C licence required) with a large cab to accommodate 4 drivers and the Instructor.  This vehicle is equipped with the latest fuel consumption measuring facility.

Day rate for weekday:  £430 + mileage + VAT + Upload fees (£8.75 per person)

Day rate for weekend:  £530 + mileage + VAT + Upload fees (£8.75 per person)

ADR (In Centre/In Company):

For drivers obtaining their DGDT ADR qualification with us, it is possible to credit some of the training hours towards the Driver CPC.  An ADR Initial Course (covering Core, Packages and 7 Classes) can be counted as 21 hours of Periodic Training.  An ADR Refresher Course (covering Core & Packages) can be counted as 7 hours of Periodic training.  This costing is in addition to the normal ADR course costs.

Norfolk Training Services Ltd will be running Driver CPC Courses covering a week where Drivers can choose individual day units or the whole week.  The Courses are usually held at our Training Centre in Norwich but can be held at our Training Centre in Kings Lynn or externally at customers premises by arrangement.

Drivers Hours and Working Time Regulations

Please Note: Attendance at courses is a legal requirement of the occupation and we as training providers must make drivers and their employers aware of the requirements of the drivers’ hours regulations if courses are undertaken at weekends or on other drivers rest days. Time spent attending a course will probably affect the amount of driving or other work they may undertake under the drivers hours and working time regulations.

It is also permissable for bus and coach drivers who may also have either Cat C1, Cat C or Car C + E on their driving licenses to attend any of the LGV Driver CPC courses we have available in order for them to accrue their 35 hours of periodic training.
